I served as a large branch Children’s Librarian for several years. I became interested in STEAM programming and to apply the principles in library programming I utilized a Pancakebot (3D pancake printer). I designed a series of programs around the machine and brought it to all of our library branches so staff didn’t have to duplicate efforts. I served as our district’s Makerspace Coordinator until an official Makerspace Librarian was hired. I became a Librarian Supervisor (assistant branch manager) in 2017 and I graduated from the Sunshine State Library Institute year 2017-18. I’ve done presentations on my special projects/STEAM programs at FLA, participated in the TECH Showcase at the NEFLIN Technology Conference and at Makerfest. Also in 2018 and early 2019 I served as a FLYP trainer (summer reading program) for the State of Florida in the TBLC region.
Programming I have experience in:
Reading with a Therapy Dog
Early Childhood Developmental programs like Storytime/Babytime
