Caroline has a BA and MA in Historical Studies from the University of Texas at Dallas in Richardson, Texas and a MLIS from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. Caroline enjoys the histories of both the United Kingdom and the United States particularly English Colonies up to the Civil War. She has worked for the Alachua County Library District since August 2011 and has advanced from a page to a librarian in that time. Caroline is currently a Reference Librarian and is also the district’s Genealogy Librarian. Her interest historically are the American Revolution and War of 1812. She also loves assisting patrons with their genealogical needs. Caroline is a member of the Alachua County Genealogical Society and assists them with arranging for speakers for their meetings. Genealogically wise, Caroline has been beating her head against a brick wall trying to trace her mother’s paternal side but with the last name Scott, that task is daunting. On Caroline’s paternal side, everything has gone smoothly. Caroline spent the 2021 Thanksgiving week successfully researching her paternal grandfather’s land in Louisiana. If only all searches could go so smoothly!! Besides history and genealogy, Caroline enjoys stress releasing crafts (crocheting and bead weaving) and spends a lot of time on her iPad putting together computer puzzles (She highly recommends the app Magic Puzzles). When Caroline isn’t crafting, she love reading Science Fiction and Fantasy particularly Anne McCaffrey and Jodi Taylor but really anything with spacecrafts and/or wizards.

In nearly 30 years in marketing and communications, there aren’t many marketing mistakes Chris Boivin hasn’t made, or marketing frustrations he hasn’t encountered. But he’s learned from everything and it’s taken him to leadership positions across several industries including health insurance, consumer data, grocery data, credit unions, and public libraries. As the marketing director at Jacksonville Public Library, Boivin and his team help library customers solve their problems so they can become the heroes of their own stories. Josiah Cook is the Teen Specialist at the Live Oak branch of the Suwannee River Regional Library System. He grew up in libraries and spent his early years attending every program he could and serving as a teen volunteer on a regular basis. Now, he’s flipped things around and is the one running the teen programs at that same library. He takes pride in providing quality, memorable experiences for his patrons and wants to help others do the same.
