As the Instructional Resources and Media Services (IRMS) Director for the St. Johns County School District, I function as a collaborator, trainer, problem solver, and project manager. I oversee applied technology, library/media programs, and training on effective instruction. In this capacity, I am responsible for supervising and providing professional development opportunities for teachers, media specialists, school support personnel, and administrators. My department provides support and professional development on the district’s Learning Management System (Schoology), including training for teachers, administrators, parents, and community members.

I have been formally trained in Adult Professional Learning Practices and currently serve as a staff developer for an educational non-profit. In this role I provide professional development in best practices for instruction, systems, leadership, and culture. I have had the pleasure of training and supporting administrators and teachers in South Carolina, Texas, Philadelphia, and other locales, including a wide range of districts in Florida. My experience has allowed me to develop and support a strong team of specialists who are well respected and highly sought after for their expertise and training abilities in the areas of technology, instructional practice, and library/media programming. I have spent my entire career listening, observing, and collaborating with some of the greatest administrators in the state and have been able to serve both my school district and community in countless ways.

I welcome the opportunity to support librarians by providing job-embedded training and mentoring to support the needs of students, teachers and administrators; create and strengthen partnerships that allow all constituents to build positive relationships with peers, staff, and community members; and create a motivating, personalized educational experience that supports safe learning and working environments.
